What got you into Lego?

For me, it was my grandfather who collected lego and he gave me my first ever set!

Who or what got you into lego?

Surprisingly enough it was the Phantom menace movie(from what I remember) but specifically it was the original Sith Infiltrator set, which my father and my brother allowed me to build alongside them(I was 3, I should have been playing with Duplo bricks)

lol. my first set was also star wars. It was from Episode 3 :D

The fact my parents where buying me lego before I was born. :classicsmile: I never had duplo! Got my first UCS set at about seven.

I got duplo after my first lego set lol

I skipped duplo, When I was 3 my dad got me some little lego racers set, I thought it was awesome, So I got more, And more, And MOAR! So far I've been collecting for 9 years (I'm 12)

I've been a fan before any of you were born! I simply enjoyed LEGO as a kid and of course the addiction grows out of hand. Shame I don't have my childhood collection any more. There were some true gems.

It really started when I got some DUPLO when I was young, that got me into building, creativity, and....LEGO!!

My mother got me some KKII for Christmas one year, and it kind of started from there. I went into a dark age for a few years to go into Hasbro Star Wars.

2007, when I was a 3rd grader, I saw an ad for Lego Star Wars, and though I'd retry for LEGO. I one a contest for a firefighter animal companion (dragon), and got $50 bucks that burnt in my pocket. So I went to TRU, and got myself the 11 minifigs from the battle packs that grew to about 380 something in three years. After some time getting my new minifigs, I WANTED MORE! So I did, I got more. When I was broke, no money towards a LEGO fund, I was looking for my old KKII minifigs that were in a storage room for years. I later found them all, and any minifig parts I was missing, JCC, my great brother found Bricklink!

Earliest figure-UFO Droid Red (possibly obtained my neighbor)
Newest Minifig-Calvary Col. (Bricktober)

i never got duplo, but the first sets i got where in 2000,and wherent even a sets,just a small box full of lego.

As a kid, I wasn't as big as a fan of Lego and Star Wars as I am now. I remember seeing the movies, and I knew the main characters, but I guess I was an 'average' fan. Thhen TPM and AoTC came out. I saw both, but still, no obsession. Then RoTS came out. I saw it with a group of buddies, and I liked it. But still, no obsession. Then, my cousin wanted a LSW set for his birthday. I rrember him getting the ARC 170 starfighter. Then, he wanted me to build it. I had so much fun building it that I started buying more and more. Now here I am.

I think my cousin got me into lego at about 2 years old. (yes I am younger than 20) My cousin told me I would always like to break his legos xD

If you lived in my country you'd have never gotten into lego, after 2002 lego ads stopped airing...

Actually that's weird, our age gap isn't that big yet you started lego WAY after me.

Mind you I've always had lego as the main toy I collect. I inherited alot as well.

Heck sometimes me and my dad still build together(using our recently acquired power functions) just so he can figure out how some new motors work within certain car designs (being the country's top engineer and whatnot).

my nan :) she gave a ton of lego blocks then i got my second set! (my first was a old small starwars one then my 2nd was indiana jones)

What got me into Lego was either my uncles or my dad. My dad gave me a bunch of his old Legos from the 70s'

lets see i think it was my grandma when i was about 2 or something i got The LEGO Spidey set with the diamond bank type thing.
