Some things just get ridiculous prices in the Star Wars online shop, that's why you should always go look elsewhere. I have no clue as to why they did it though.

Inflation. I don't know why it's so high, though. TRU prices a little higher, and they have the prices be really high on some sets, and give them a "sale", so they are retail, so people will buy from there and think they're getting a deal. Got the TRU Big Book yesterday and noticed that while I was looking through it. But I don't have a logical explanation for why the price is so high, sorry.

I don't know why they did that. Time's tough I guess ((lol)) or maybe some guy typed it wrong. I would get tick off if it stays at that price though. Maybe Star Wars had to get more money on simpler products to renew their contract with lego.

Like Empire said they're trying to make more of a profit like TRU. They retailers have to but the stock and sell it. They mark it up so they get more profit. They buy them wholesale so it's cheaper than what we pay. TLG makes the most money when we buy direct from TLG. Anyway the retailers have to buy the stock first. They want to get their money back and more. Get me?
