New 2011 DK Lego Star Wars Characters Encyclopedia

In October, the smash hit combination of LEGO, Star Wars and DK continues with the LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia. More than 200 minifigures are profiled in this hardcover release, which is slated to include an exclusive mystery minifigure! Below is a sample page featuring Luke and R2-D2.

I can't wait to get this encyclopedia. What are your thoughts?

Cool! It would be cool to see more character encyclopedias like this, or maybe an official Fan Dictionary, with terms like "MOC", "AFOL", and "SNOT".

Sounds great. Even though it's somewhat useless to most because of internet resources. Hopefully it will have some new material like the Visual Dictionary did. I hope that the figure is OT like Ceremonial Luke. That was my main reason for buying the dictionary and the figure will be a buying or selling point on this fo me.

Well that would be quite bland if you think about it. It would just be a regular Han with a medal printed on it. Nothing that special. Luck had a jacket and had better pants on. See what I mean? I'd still get it but a Han Ceremony but it wouldn't be as great as Luck. Now I could go for a Jan Dodonna.

My guess is that it will be CW or PT, since in the last one, it was an OT fig.

Yeah, I hope it is CW!

No, please, no. I don't want a CW exclusive figure. Give me an OT Yoda or atleast one for both ep2 and 3, but that also fits in for ep5.

But no, I don't see the need for an exclusive CW figure. How many CW sets are we getting each year? Alot. How many OT sets did we get in wave 1 of this year? None. That's right, the V-wing was from the PT since the black ones were shown during the shuttle scene, transporting Vader alongside Palpatine's Theta-class shuttle. Their replacements were the TIE Fighters.

I hope we'll be seeing a new alien species, but perhaps they will just re-use molds. Greedo? Or perhaps more likely as a figure there, Ceremony Han?
