when BA "Prototyped" the repeater rifle I wanted them, but he never massed produced them, but BrickWarriors did come out with a version of the repeater rifle and mass produced it.
Piss isn't a bad word. Is pee a bad word? No. Its the same thing.
Re: Brickarms.
I agree with Flare.
It can be considered rude, but it has been banalized, it's common to hear it nowadays...

I honestly don't think that's worth censoring, AB.
Re: Brickarms.

Re: Brickarms.
But now that you can sell your 'Protos' it is not even worth trying it. I had a V.1 podgun I was going to trade for 5 pounds of fabuland. Now that you can sell them, the person could just go to Toy Wiz and buy one for $8, needless to say the trade was called off (I ended up buying it). I like what Brickarm's makes, but I am not happy with the way they do it.Flare wrote:Asterios wrote:Sorry not a fan of BrickArms, for the main reqason that Will and his crew piss me off in regards to his whole Prototype process, alot of people don't understand how Will's "Prototype" screws over alot of people, Will does the "Prototypes" so no other vendor will do them since if they do, he'll say they stole the idea from him, so now we have "Prototypes" items that will take forever if at all to see the light of day of mass production, thank god we have BrickWarriors to fill in the spot and actually come out with product.

Yeah, BA has become sort of an elite collecting thing...

Re: Brickarms.
I'm not a military guy, so I don't know all of these "m-16" terms and all that, but I do know SW terms (E-11, DC-15 Carbine, etc)

Re: Brickarms.
Stupid... things like that is why you don't have many LEGO SW fans buying your stuff, BA, and there about 50% of the LEGO community!
Re: Brickarms.
My Views on Brickarms (Warning its going to be a long post)
Brickarms.. I love them and I hate them. I got my first order from them when they just started, I remember when there items where 50 a piece at the most.. I loved them then, but I hate the way they run there company.
Prototypes
From a 3D modeler, it should never take a year to get from design to mold. It should take less then a month at the most. Once you have the size you want you can just drag and drop in shapes, because you are going to be molding it and not using it as a 3D model you do not even need to extrude... The time it takes only makes them able to charge more. Now that they are not even shipping orders from there building it should be even easier. Now onto the charge for prototypes, my dad has a hand-molding machine in our basement to mold parts for fixing things around the farm (Yes, I do live on a farm). From the time I cut the mold and melt the the ABS and cast off around a 100 sprues (2-10 items on a sprue) it might have taken a hour, and that is by hand! If I was to be molding items to sell, I could charge $1 a sprue and make a ton! Charging $20 per item is just crazy.
Fan Boys
I don't mind Fan Boys. If you like Brickarms then that is great. What I mind is when I post a creation on Flickr, and I am asked if I would trade it for a Proto. I am not sure why people give this much value to Prototypes, I am not going to trades pounds and pounds of items for one item that is only rare because it is created to be rare. I think Fan Boys, can be Fan Boys and it is not a big deal. If you like Brickarms it does not mean you to be a fan boy, just use them instead of just taking photos of your piles of Brickarms.
I hope this doesn't come off as rant-y. I do not mean it to be, and I am only stating my opinion so everyone knows where I stand.

Re: Brickarms.
Well Octan, I think I am with everyone here in the following two comments I'm gonna make:
1: DAMN, I just realised you share the same first name as my brother.
2: I think we all agree we'd love to see you move to a hill so we can call you "Hill Billy".
LOLZ
