Nice! The idea of LEGO instruments is good, but when it's in LDD it's less interesting.
In my opinion, LEGO instruments (and toys) in real life are more interesting because you can demonstrate their playability (pun intended).

Yeah, real ones in Lego would be pretty cool! (You might have to glue them though :()

I don't think so, you can do it with basic bricks. Just create a big, sealed compartment and put in some small parts, connect it to a column and that's it.
