I make them small like that and enlarge them by 5.
You make them with single pixels, but enlarge them. That's usually a sprite.
EDIT: Page kitten yay!!!!
Re: Star Wars "Mini Men" Request Topic
They are not spirites, they are "Mini-men" or as JCC calls them "Pixel Pals".
Re: Star Wars "Mini Men" Request Topic
Images made on pixel level, are always called pixel art, aka- sprites. I won't argue with you though, what do either of us gain from that? Nothing. Whatever they are, they are still cool.
Re: Star Wars "Mini Men" Request Topic
Whatever they are your good at making them

Re: Star Wars "Mini Men" Request Topic
Yes, I am good at them...
They are officially pixel art. They do not fit under the criteria of sprite, which is something used in a game (Nintendo, for example). Even though I label them as "Mini-men" or "Pixel Pals".

Re: Star Wars "Mini Men" Request Topic
They should be considered sprites seeing as they represent a character/an item only, they are not pixel art unless they are sort of a portrait with pixels(that implies shading and so on), so I'd actually find it fitting they are called sprites, that doesn't mean they are used in games...

Re: Star Wars "Mini Men" Request Topic
I don't. Most spirites are used in a sort of game (google sprites and you see mostly Zelda/Nintedo stuff) and these are not used as such.
Or:
Dictionary.com wrote:
3. (Group Games / Games, other than specified) an icon in a computer game which can be manoeuvred around the screen by means of a joystick, etc.
Or:
Dictionary.com wrote:1. (Myth & Legend / Classical Myth & Legend) (in folklore) a nimble elflike creature, esp one associated with water

The Drink is a spirit (Said like the other name for a ghost), and this is a Sprite (Said like Bright, but with a 'S'), a Pixel-ly character.Ali Cooper-Williams wrote:No I've been around a pretty long time

Yous who say that my guys are sprites are wrong.
But seriously, Dictionary.com is written by professionals, not like 2 kids in Europe who are just whacked out of their gourd.

AW YEAH!
Also, Octan is right
The problem is Spirits are Spirituous drinks, which means they contain alcohol as well as ethanol and are made by the process of distillation.

Re: Star Wars "Mini Men" Request Topic
I did make a Roman and Greek guy for school. If I know what it is I'll make it, if I don't know it/do not like/support it, I won't.
Re: Star Wars "Mini Men" Request Topic
Oh okay, would it be possible for you to make a Doctor Who Mini Man? If so, please the 9th Doctor (Christopher Eccleston). Also could you post the Greek guy? As you probably know, i really like Ancient Greece.
Oh and could you please please please make a Zeus?

When you quoted this, did you put an image under it? There must be something wrong with my Internet, because if there is, it isn't loading, and neither is the images that tell you whether or not there's a new post in a topic. then again, it isn't loading on our Dial-up, or our Broadband. But anyway, if there was an image, could you please tell me what it was? Sorry. The Empire wrote:I love Greek mythology, so I can do Zeus and post the Greek soldier awesomely. There was no image. He was just trying to repeat what he said about Doctor Who.

Yeah, the icons were hosted on Brickshelf, so we've lost them until further notice.
