Hey all! I'm DJB from Flickr. I am currently in the process of starting up a company to sell little aliens, custom figures, ect. made by me and other Flickr members. I plan on offering items that can be seen on my photostream. I would link it, but alas... I must wait seven days before being able to post external links.
Any thoughts? Are y'all interested?

Pardon? What do you mean by "For now"? If you need some product images, I can deliver when I get the power to externally link.

Just if any issues may arise in the future, just as staff precaution.

A few members where worried about members just joining to advertise, and have no intent to do any thing else. JCC is saying he sees that this is not the case, and that this topic is fine.

Short and sweet... This website if not your personal billboard. I don't allow people to join just for the sole purpose of advertising.

Your post does somewhat fall under that category, however I was giving you a break since you seemed to be fishing around to see if anyone had interest in what you are considering doing. Again, however, eventually this would evolve into more of a self advertising topic apposed to idea feedback topic, thus breaking the rules.

That is what I meant by "for now". I was trying to be nice, that was all.

Henri didn't break that rule.. Did someone else?

This isn't a for sale topic, if it was I would have to ban DJB. So Henri wasn't making an off topic post, since nothing is for sale here and it is a feedback thread on his idea.


Also DJB, I can't manually override the external link rule. So there isn't anything I can do unless you reach 10 posts or PM the link to me and I'll repost it.

My mistake... I thought it was for sales only..
