Re: LEGO Question Topic
Hi there, Count Empire, I do have one question, why do people think Lego stopped producing Batman? it was such a wonderful theme aand I'm sure it also boosted sales for city sets(everyone wants to build gotham).
Cheers.

Re: LEGO Question Topic
I have a partial answer to your question: Lego ran out of ideas for LBM. I also think that the sales were okay, but not as good as they were expected to be. As for boosting City sets, that's a good point, but, they could've made a special edition Gotham City. Hope this makes sense.blhc11 the great wrote:Hi there, Count Empire, I do have one question, why do people think Lego stopped producing Batman? it was such a wonderful theme aand I'm sure it also boosted sales for city sets(everyone wants to build gotham).

Re: LEGO Question Topic
It sorta does make sense, but I believe the problem was the molds, if lego wanted to keep making minifigs they'd have to make new molds so what they did was make digital molds and sell the game so everyone was happy, I just feel that the game opened me more to the Lego Batman audience than ever before and then my dreams were crushed when, in the summer of 2009 I didn't see new sets...FettJango wrote:I have a partial answer to your question: Lego ran out of ideas for LBM. But with "The Dark Knight Rises" in 2 years, we might still be able to see some more batman.

That is definately my hope, btw did you watch TB&TB
Re: LEGO Question Topic
I don't think they will continue Lego Batman when the movie comes out, I think that's the reason itself! I think that LEGO doesn't want to promote such violence and mischief of the new Batman movies, that's why it stopped, because the making of the Dark Knight. They don't want to promote it. So I think Batman is gone, unless they make it for TB&TB, because they have a "team up" with CartoonNetwork, with Ben 10 and TCW. But i wouldn't buy from TB&TB, though. Too childish, didn't like the series at all.

make youre own molds? Or do you just mean which do you prefer to use?lennonfan1010 wrote:What do you use to make your own lego molds, like Brickarms or Brickforge
P.S that was a lego question, not off-topic.

Nope. Make the molds. I want to make my own pieces :D
Re: LEGO Question Topic
No it would not. The company founder {I seem to forget his name} said "War is not Childs play!". Meaning no war for lego. I know there are starwars and Indiana Jones but there rule is no modern themes based on war. That is also why there were no green bricks for many years. So No, no war themes.CommandoMando wrote:Would it be possible for a Lego millitary line?

Thanks, both of you, but I already know THAT!. I know that there are model tanks, fighter jets, etc, and that kids do them (That sounds funny ). Also, a lot parents don't really care about violence, or their kids wouldn't play CoD all day. I'm kinda suggesting a history theme here when I mean military, like in terms of having famous war icons, like the USS Enterprise.

They are like the Barcodes in S. 1-2. They tell what minifig is in what bag.Canadia wrote:Where are the dots on a series 3 bag?

They're on the reverse of the package. At the bottom where the bottom is sealed. They are inside the seals.Canadia wrote:I mean the location of them. On my series three bags there are no dots that I can find

The pride of making your own Lego-compatible weapons? Priceless.
Sorry, I couldn't resist. I actually agree with you. Just shell out the money for Brickarms, Will does a great job on them.

Does anyone know if Mace Windu's JSF will be availible in the U.S.? The rest of the wave, including the other exclusive, has been out in stores for some time...

Re: LEGO Question Topic
I've been wondering myself. I don't think there has ever been a set released like that recently. Except the Castle and Pirate advents a couple years ago. Also to take into consideration that it's a licensed set makes it ever odder. I would think that it'll be available in the US within a month or two.CommandoMando wrote:Does anyone know if Mace Windu's JSF will be availible in the U.S.? If you are logged on in the U.S, it says that "This product is not availible in the United States".

Re: LEGO Question Topic
Unfortunately this is the first time a star wars set has been released in the UK and not in the US for such a long time. I think they will eventually sell the set in the US though.

Why must LEGO put a burden on the US? they don't release those new minifig collection sets, some advents, and now SW!

STOP COMPLAINING! WE DIDN'T EVEN GET THE ARKHAM ASYLUM WHEN IT WAS RELEASED!
Seriously, al you guys do is complain, there is A TON of US exclusve sets, but at the first sign of a EU exclusive set, YOU START COMPLAINING!
What is wrong with you? Do you not think it's fair that, we're finally getting europe exclusive sets? 'Cause I LOVE it.

Well not to be a party buster, but the fact is in the last 3 years EU has had 25 more country exclusive sets than the US. I complain that EU has more exclusive sets than the US.

Now let's see how many are airline exclusives... yeah
Also, the EU is more divided than the USA(the USA doesn't have state exclusives, the EU has 27 countries with exclusives, what did you expect?!?)

Only three Airline exclusives to be exact. I will admit that through your continents diversity, your country probally only receives a few of those sets.

Re: LEGO Question Topic
Also you have to take into consideration many people, including myself, don't know that sets are USA exclusives. Don't take the anger out on us Henri.
Re: LEGO Question Topic
I'm confused because I think there is a bigger SW fan base in the U.S. than the UK. Also Henri, like JCC said, please do not take it out on us. We didn't do anything to affect which sets were to be U.S. , or UK exclusives.

That is true, but the prices over here are much higher, I pay 20 more dollars than you for almost any star wars set, the BHAG and the T-6 Shuttle are just outrageous, I pay 35 more dollars, maybe that's why they are making it an EU exclusive...
