Custom Pieces
Whether you know how to make them, or you enjoy Brickarms or Brickforge, or you want some piece to be made, talk about it here
Re: Custom Pieces

Thanks!
I'm working on a tactical vest and a Mohawk. I also made some samurai shoulder pads and nunchucks but they didn't turn out too well. The shoulder armor crumbled before it came off the minifig and the nunchucks just don't look right.

Re: Custom Pieces
Discussing custom pieces, is anyone here a little unhappy about having to buy BA from resellers now? I just find it harder than just ordering it there.

Re: Custom Pieces
I bought some stuff from Brickforge a while back, but now I can't get anything more because they aren't shipping to Australia any more and apparently that counts for New Zealand!

Re: Custom Pieces
I don't get why Brick Arms are so popular. All they are is tons of guns...
BrickForge is now officially my favourite custom parts maker.
If only they'd made barrels and sacks all my odd little fantasies for miniatures would come true.
I need to buy some of these some time.

Can't you order direct from Brickforge? They do offer international shipping. ;)Armed Builder wrote:can anybody find a uk reseller of brickforge firestar is too expensive
Re: Custom Pieces
I don't really approve of buying non LEGO made pieces for some reason although I do like those mushrooms.

Re: Custom Pieces
hey, FRC, could you help me with some decal printing?
Also if you're offering a decal application service I'd happily send you the money for you to make me some heads(depending on prices of course ;D)
Cheers.

Re: Custom Pieces
Possibly, what do you need printed? And I could decal heads, no more than $2 a head unless it's a rare color. If you want mass amounts, I could have them printed. Or, depending on what you want I might already have something in the works.Blhctendo64 the Great wrote:hey, FRC, could you help me with some decal printing?

Re: Custom Pieces
I'm thinking on getting like 2 or 3 heads printed, but before I have to design the entire figures.
Also, the price sounds right, I'll talk to you soon :)
Thanks.

The one on the left is by me, one on right is by my 6 year old brother. You can request one for purchase if you would like.
Re: Custom Pieces
CAD is a just a open term for any 3D modeling software... There are free ones like Google Sketchup or ones that are 10,000-100,000 depending on what they do. The one that I am the best at is Autodesk Maya, the sister program of Auto-Cad, and is manly focused around Animation, and costs $2000, or if you went to a training program (Like I did) you get the student version free.Quinzel wrote:What is CAD? and how do you print decals on? Re: Custom Pieces
I think Octan described it best. And as for decals, you get a piece of decal paper, size the decals in Word or Pages, print them on to the decal paper, seal it with clear gloss, cut them out, dip them in water, and apply them. PM me for details, there are several important things.Quinzel wrote:What is CAD? and how do you print decals on? Sounds very professional and cool!
They were black, being the only ones I had on had. Thats just how awesome Citadel Paints are.The_Custom_one wrote:Those ninja helmets look nice! What color were they originally?

Custom Ninja Guy...
Here is the complete result of making a figure to go with those Ninja Hoods.
Prototype Green Ninja Figure-BBTB2012 by First Rate Customs/HD Studios, on Flickr
He will be sold at BBTB2012 for $20-$25 (Still figuring that out) and can be custom ordered for approximently the the same price. Send me an PM for details. He was made with Citadel Acrylic Paints and sealed for playabilty. The torso and legs are a decal, not official TLC printing. Stand NOT included.

Re: Custom Pieces
Why do customizers spend so much time and effort on wonderful things just to sell them?

Re: Custom Pieces
Well I'm saving one for a project...*hint hint*, and this one was custom ordered. And mainly because I need cash because I'm getting an iMac soon to replace my 2007 Macbook that is pretty useless for photo editing. The Empire wrote:Why do customizers spend so much time and effort on wonderful things just to sell them?
Thanks! And it still needs some work. ;)The Empire wrote:I mean, even look at the stand he made! That's wonderful!

Why did you need to paint the stand in the first place?
