The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
...The Original TBH Mystery...
Welcome to the city of Brick Hope, a peaceful city with close to zero when it comes to crime. But sadly, one fateful day, 5 people are murdered in The Brick Market downtown. The city is in fear, and it's people, in turmoil...
Welcome to The Original TBH Mystery Day 1! This mafia game will be like no other, for the character will be your sig-fig! This a refreshment on the rules and guidelines of the mafia game, then the game will truly begin!
Please re-read all the information below before posing!
- Please stay in character during the game (not in the sign-up topic/general discussion, though)
- You can have "disputes" with another person, but IN CHARACTER! It must not really harm the other person, and it must be related to the mafia game.
- If you wish to state an issue with the mafia game, please PM me.
- Off-topic posts and out-of character posts will not be tolerated, and deleted.
- Be kind and respectful.
- After 2 days (game days, not real ones), PM me on who you think is in on the crimes and vote them out. (Only 1 person) Please state one form of evidence to support your vote
- Have fun!
Day 1
As Flare and Octan were walking together near the old shed, they spotted what was thought as a Halloween decoration.
Octan called the police, thinking something was up.
Flare greeted him, and told "Lego City Boy" (as the cief was called) what they saw.
"I don't know what it is, but I have a bad feeling about it..."
"Lemie' check it out."
"Okay."
? thought the policeman, thinking that the way he said "Okay" was abnormal.
"Ah!', screamed LegoCityBoy.
"Well, what is it?"
"Remains, of a person-" LegoCityBoy stopped, bent over, and examined the bones...
"Of a male...shot 5 times in the chest."
Having no choice but to get the stretcher in the squad car, they carried the remains to the hospital, and citizens (like perthpoke) was shocked to see bones being transported by a sidewalk.
Meanwhile, the city's main government workers congregate at the Council.
"This is upsetting, 5 murdered!"
"Outrageous!"
"Disgusting!"
"Arrogant!"
"We must do something!"
"Silence!" yelled JCC.
"We must find a solution to this problem like civil men!"
Then Henri and Lennon came in with that day's paper.
"JCC, look at this!" said Henri in shock, as he turned the paper over to JCC, then JCC read.
"What!?" exclaimed JCC.
"It says than another body was found at 5 o' clock this morning, showing signs of freshness, gun shots, and burns."
Then the council starting getting into it again...but this time, Empire broke the commotion.
"We must do something about this," spoke Empire.
"This is a new record for our city, 6 deaths within 3 days! We should take more action, have the city itself be the eyes of our society, us as well, we cannot do anything to stop this unless we do something together. Even though this means that we will probably be working with the enemy...but it's our only chance."

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
Hm... were there bullets in the body when it was found, Lego City Boy?
Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
I agree with lennon, if there were bullets we could try and trace them, if there weren't, it means we're dealing with someone very careful.
I would like it if we were notified of after the remains were analized with all the important details.
P.S: Stop me if you've heard this one. How many Lennon's are needed to sink a yellow submarine?

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
This is terrible. We need to do something before it gets out of hand and others are killed. I don't know if anyone saw anything last night but if so say something.
(^^ To the two previous, I think this is a Mafia game not a 'Mystery/Role Play' game as such. I think we are supposed to talk to each other to find out and not ask direct questions looking for evidence.)

Alright then. Who here has access to fire, because one of the body had burn marks...
Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
I think most people did. If any smokers are present then that is a clue.

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
No one's gonna ask "Golly gee, Henri, how many Lennon's are needed to sink a sub?"....
Sniff...
Well, I'm thinking we're dealing with someone clearly mentally unbalanced, to leave a body just lying around is an amazing feat.
Probably a piromaniac or something.
The Mail man and the Police officer were shocked when they saw the body, as for the two passers by, I'm not sure, this is their version of what happened, so far as we know they could very well have passed by earlier and attacked the poor victim.
Octan, Flare, I'm sorry to bother members of the government, but how do we know you didn't do this?
So far as we know, this city was kept clean by a very dirty government, and they had the mafia or something protect the entire darned city.
Back in my home town, we had crime, so we were used to it, but it was immediately solved, how did the government of Brick Hope city even allow this to be published?
I would like to know who is responsible for the newspaper, I'd like Lennon to tell me how much a cupcake is and I want to know what you are gonna do about my six pigs, my donkey and my porta-jon!
Sorry... I couldn't avod making a joke... I crack(not that) wise when I'm stressed.

No...
No...
Our city can't go to this! We must question everything and everyone...
We can not let this keep on happening.... I must bring them all to my court, and they most prove their innocence before all of us. We must make haste! Why would I kill this man... He has done nothing
to me, also I have and will not kill someone, for I am good at heart....

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
What surprises me is that it looks as if the body was gutted and skinned with only bones remaining. If the body was burned there would be noticeable burn marks and bone damage. I highly doubt that the killer stuck around to put the fire out to save the remains for damage.
~* STAFF NOTE: There is already out of character posts! This is intolerable! You are allowed to ask questions and are supposed to act as if you are the character. You talk with each other and ask each other questions. Also the game is called "The Original TBH Mystery" All Mafia? Mystery games involve role play. Yes this game involves killing but there hasn't been any mention of these being mafia related killings. Please keep that in mind. *~

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
Effective as heck, instead of rounding up suspects before taking people to court, HOW ABOUT WE JUST FRIGGIN' TAKE EVERYONE? THAT SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT!
I have a better suggestion, how 'bout you develop a system that actually works?
If this city had even minor crime rates, you'd be able to prevent this.
So, a wanderer like me, stops by because the city seems to have a good stand-up crowd and now I'm facing a JUDGE? What is wrong with this place?
I still think you are guilty, Octan. You sir, were one of the two people who reported the crime, WHAT TELLS US YOU DIDN'T COMMIT IT AND NOW ARE TRYING TO SEEM ALL RIGHTEOUS AND WHATNOT?

I would not do such a thing... And how do we know it was not you!?! I am a judge, I would never even think of such a thing. And why are you not asking Flare? I was not the only one there, seems like you are trying to take out the good that is left from this great city!

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
But you control the courts, that means that if you had done it, you'd be safe.
Also, this is far from a great city, a great city can control itself, YOU COULDN'T EVEN KEEP A STORY OUT OF THE NEWSPAPERS!
I remember good old Europena city, at least they could keep their local media under a leash...
I came here to entertain people, not kill them. I'm a stand-up comic for crying out loud!
If you wish to blame me for the murder, find some decent reason.
I barely hold grudges and a murder, not only goes against everything I believe in, but would ruin my reputation.
Oh I remember the good old comedians like Jokey Napier. They never were sent to court with no evidence whatsoever. Heck, you could barely put napier in a courtroom, he wasn't a bad person, much like I'm not.
So why am I here "your honor". Please give me reason for me not to go ahead and leave alongside my prop case.

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
Henri, you are quick to accuse, to put the blame on someone else and try to take the blame off yourself. On top of that you are criticizing our system already. Why are you wanting this out of the press too? You don't like the murders looming over your head? Also I bet it was your idea to bring the paper to the city meeting. I personally find you to be a person of interest.

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
For being outraged?
The first day I'm here, the media freaks out because of a murder and then I'm sent to court without reason.
I think I have all the right to be mad.
I'm sorry if I insulted anyone, I just had a terrible show in europena last week and am still recovering. These people don't understand comedy.
By the by, the awnser to my joke was "it takes two Lennon's to sink a yellow submarine, one to knock on the door and one to open it.".

You are trying to wipe us out are you not? A comic, really, in this time? You are trying to distract us, aren't you? It is not funny Henri! I will not take this in my city. I would not do something like this, all I want is peace, not war.

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
I've only known Henri for about a week, and I don't remember if he ever owned a gun. I own one, because I need to protect myself running a store and all, but the other day it went missing...
and I'd like to know, have we identified any of the dead?

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
I do not use guns, it's not something I'm fond of, I do have a gun in my prop case, check it if you want.
It's a prop gun, if you fire it all you'll see is a little flag.
Plus, I am a comedian and that is why I came to the city.
By the way, mister mayor, I thought you were aware your judge ordered everyone to show up in court...
If there's anything I need to do to show you I'm not responsible tell me, here's the contacts of my prop case:
Prop Gun
rubber duck
"arrow through head" arrow
rubber chicken
wind-up box with boxing glove inside
pink roller blades with "Dora The Explorer" stickers
Plus elephant
Giant sun glasses
2 wigs
stress ball
extra clothes
smoke pipe
tobacco
lighter
That's it, find something interesting and tell me.

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
lighter? if the body had burn marks, it may have been you! and who knows, perhaps multiple people are to blame!
Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
Wait?
Seriously?
Why would I purposely leave bunr marks IF I had killed someone?
I'm not stupid, plus it is empty and I haven't filled it in two days, it hasn't been used since I arrived here.
The last lighter I thouched was the Mail man's, I think his name was Poke, I had just settled in my hotel and needed to smoke, I usually do after long trips.
How about you? You have claimed to own a gun, my friend, that might be a murder weapon right there.
Next time you ought to be more careful where you keep your stuff, if it is you truly lost it and didn't simply hide it somewhere else after the murder was done.
I have told you what I own, I suggest you folks do the same.

Alright. I live on the top floor of my store, and this is everything that isn't visible:
Pastry mix
icing
My "secret ingredient" in my muffin
my gun (which went missing)
A nintendo DSi (usually in my pocket)
my camera (usually in my pocket)
and my safe (in the back corner of the kitchen)
anything else is in plain site if you look in the store or in my living corders

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
Well you were acting like you were brought in the court to be sentenced! It was for a gathering to discuss this issue!
Also just because Perth was around the crime scene doesn't make him responsible! He saw the body passing by on the stretcher!
Also a lighter isn't the only way to start a fire.

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
Yes, true. I admit you aren't the killer "just because you have a lighter." But, it is a little coincidental that Henri:
1) doesn't want the story in the papers
2) was the last one in my shop before my gun went "missing"
3) happens to have a lighter
and 4) criticizes the police for "not being able to stop the murders"

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
Wait... ingridients... how do we know you didn't poison the jon doe before murdering him?
Also, what's in the safe, if I may be so blunt as to ask?
Sure, Mayor, but amongst what I have in my trunk, which is the only lugage I carry around, it's the only possible way to create fire, seeing as I'm no evil underworld alchemist.
I'm sorry I sound angry, but I can't help it, I thought this was a peaceful city, but all of a sudden people start dying, we need to do something QUICK.
If you need anything from me, notify me, I'l tell you all I know.
Another thing, you live above your shop, anyone could have entered your house and taken the gun from the shop, as I've stated, I dislike guns.
The lighter is not working and I haven't refilled it in 2 days, I haven't used it since I arrived.
It's not I don't want it in the papers, but in europena, people tried to not make everyone panic.
Also, I hate to break this to you, but the police aren't doing a good job, if it was someone good, this would probably already be solved, it's a petty criminal, we haven't even found out his modus operandi, have we?

You make a good point Henri. The evidence is pointing away from you... so you're either innocent or pulling of the greatest murders since Jack the Ripper
Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
I'm either innocent or pulling one of the greatest murders of all time?
I'm flattered and insulted that you actually consider me smart...
As for the gunshots, they aim away from me, my brother was shot in front of me, I don't take lightly of people using guns, to say the truth, I'd never have gone into your shop if I knew about you owning one.

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
I agree with you Jack, the only reason I brought up the lighters was because it Henri mentioned he used Perth's and seemed to be blaming him.
Also you must not know about murder very well Henri. I was a police detective before I was Mayor. How do you expect the police to solve murders with just skeletons and bullets as evidence? The bullets may not appear in any police records, we need to find the gun to match with the bullets before we can even have an idea! It's hard enough to even get a positive ID on the body!

Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
And one of my regular customers just disappeared recently... he'd come in daily for a muffin... I checked his house, and his wife said he left for my shop on Monday and never came home. I didn't see him Monday.
Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
Well at the moment not much has been released to the press, only police and any family of the victims know at the moment. Give it some time so we can have more evidence and information.
Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
Alright. I'm going to return to my shop, I have some bills to pay, cakes to bake, customers to rip-off. Bye.
Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
What do you mean by customers to rip-off? was that why you charged me 5 bucks for a chocolate croissant?
Also, you're all cordially invited to my stand-up show at the Irish Pub Tomorrow, I'm sure it'll go off with a bang and all support is welcome.

Investigations show that there are signs of removal of the bullets from the bone. But one bullet has been recovered to a "tommy-gun". And Henri, you have been acting strange...anything wrong?
Re: The Original TBH Mystery Day 1
Nope, I just had some flashes of when my brother got shot when I read the newspaper and I just want this solved as soon as possible, I might seem excited, but I'm just very disturbed.
A tommy gun? Who would own one?
