Best Line in Film History Empty Best Line in Film History

Post by JackDawson1010 4/2/2011, 3:14 pm

I'm doing a survey and I'd like to know, what is the best line in film history?

It could be the funniest line, the line that relates to you the most, as long as it's your favorite line.

Post below with the line, who said it (actor and character) and what movie. For example:

"Egon, Ray has gone bye-bye"
Bill Murray as Dr. Peter Venkman
Ghostbusters

"Wait 'till they get a load of me" or "where does he get those wonderful toys"
Both by Jack Nicholson as The Joker.

"It's a trap!" - Admiral Ackbar, Star Wars Episode VI Return of the Jedi

I'm not serious about that one though. Grin Empire's probably the best Star Wars one.

"Impressive. Most impressive. Obi-Wan has taught you well. You have controlled your fear. Now, release your anger. Only your hatred can destroy me." - Darth Vader in Star Wars. My other choice would be:
"You may hand us over to the executioner, but in three months time the disgusted people will bring you to book, and drag you alive through the dirt in the streets."- Erwin Von Witzleben. From the movie Valkyrie.

It's surprising no one remembered of "Punch Her in the b***s" by the actor who played wallace in SP Vs TW or "Who did you think was batman? Superman?" uttered by Napoleon Dynamite in the MTV movie awards short of 2006 "Tankman Begins"

I honestly think the best line is "Ha ha. Ha. They're all gonna die" - Matt Hooper, Jaws.

OR

"Brad, I've just come to tell you how FABULOUS I am" - Janet Majors, Shock Treatment
