Other hobbies besides LEGO
I'm posting this because I have a question... what are your hobbies besides LEGO?
Mine is Modern Hasbro Star Wars figures. Here's the story of how I started-
Ah, yes, my oldest hobby. I've had SW figures ever since I could remember. My first would be a 2002 Clone Trooper Pilot, that still remains in my collection as a beloved favorite. My collection mainly focused..and focuses on Clone Troopers. I have a box that has a volume of 525 square inches just about full of clones. I also have about half of a huge shelving until full of the White Knights of the Republic. But when I really began (before AOTC) I really liked Battle Droids. I had about 20 droids when AOTC came out. When I saw those white-armored troopers walk across the screen, I knew I would love to have an army for myself. I started buying clones from then. When ROTS came out in 05, my focus changed to Phase 2 clones. My army is about 7/10 Phase II troopers. The variations really overwhelmed me. It really bothered me when TCW came out in 08. I have most of the CW clone troopers (including rare ones like the ARC troopers battle pack and grey clones). Recently I stared to like the Empire. I've gathered a neat little collection of Imperial stormtroopers, Sand, snow, and scout troopers. When I had some older stormtroopers, I first had them to be enemies of the clones, then "incorporated" them into my ranks. My army is still growing, and will go at a hault once the new summer sets come out. But possible not. Here's some pictures and a video of my collection.

I'm mainly talking about Star Wars sets. The other Summer sets are out here, too. Besides picking up Star wars sets in August, I'm done with LEGO.
Re: Other hobbies besides LEGO
Yes, those are the ones I'm talking about.
I've already held the millennium falcon's box in my hands, getting it next month :D

I'm pretty much the same as Empy on this. Except I have a Rebel Collection. Here is the lone picture I have with all my Rebel Pilots and Astromechs.
They are all different. No duplicates.

In the Fifth movie, its a transport to evacuate the rebels from Hoth. A poor design at best......DarkBeast the Great wrote:what's the ship? I don't recall it from the films...

Oh yeah... it seems too rounded though, I recall it being sort of oval, also it's... out of scale D:>

Re: Other hobbies besides LEGO
It's from 1980! What do you expect? The figures looked terrible too but I love that vintage charm! Kenner had no conception of scale!
It's a GR-75 Medium Transport. Yes, I do actually have a thing for those ships.

I'm making "it's out of scale" a joke in my next video... clone wars abridged...
It's gonna be heavy though, drug references and cursing, just how I roll XD

Re: Other hobbies besides LEGO
I hope to get pictures up of my entire Clone and Imperial collection. I have 12 stormtroopers, and just about as many officers to match.
And I have a Medium Transport as well. When I got it at Eater a couple years ago, my collection was so small, I could fit all of my clones in it. Now... I would need 5-6. (it was pre- CW series)
Kenner made it bulky so the kids can have fun with it. This is what a real GR-75 Medium Transport looks like:

Let's get back on topic.

Re: Other hobbies besides LEGO
WELL... my hobbies are; playing music, Boy Scouts, watching movies, swimming making movies, building lego, listening to music, writing stories, drawing, writing music, and creating 3D renderings. Not too great on that last one, and I'm also starting gardening.
Re: Other hobbies besides LEGO
I only play Table Tennis, Billiards, and Badminton. Table Tennis and Billiards with Empy and Badminton with my mother. Heh heh.
Re: Other hobbies besides LEGO
badminton is tireing, I actually hate it, I also hate the fact I actually entered a badminton turnament and tried to lose in every round just so I could go home... I got 2nd place... :C
Jack... Gardening? REALLY?

-Math (the second best art ever made by mankind) science (because it's fascinating) and knowing things in general.
-Music- I don't play anything but I like Israeli music, classical music, bizarre instruments, theme songs, and crazy people on Youtube that play two guitars at once.
-Reading: the Discworld series (by Terry Pratchett), His Dark Materials trilogy (by Philip Pullman) or The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series (by Douglas Adams)
-Science fiction and fantasy (The Matrix, LoTR, Star Trek, Star Wars, Isaac Asimov)
-Watching TV series (Warehouse 13, Futurama, The Simpsons, Family Guy) and movies
I have a lot of things to say on any of the subjects, I like to talk and discuss too.

The Matrix was interesting in my opinion.DarkBeast the Great wrote:"The Matrix" and "LoTR"?

Lord of the Rings were the best movies I've ever seen, and the books were great too.
You could have phrased it more... Politely.
Re: Other hobbies besides LEGO
My hobbies (other than Lego) are...
Reading books: All types of books, well as long as I can stay interested in it.
Listening to music: Any kind (except mainstream hip hop, not my cup of tea, but oh well)
Writing stories: I am currently writing a book and will publish soon...
Watching movies and TV: If it's interesting or unique maybe I will watch as long as it interests me.
Well that's most of it

Well, I was as polite as I could be, In film school we only watched those movies to know how NOT to direct... I'm still waiting for some bright guy at fox to give michael bay a show about directing so...
I guess the only thing I can do is slowly become the main influence for my generation and turn time back into the 1950s... boy do I love vests...

What? Does this imply you liked the Transformers movies?DarkBeast the Great wrote:

Re: Other hobbies besides LEGO
no, that Implies I didn't... I hate everything Michael Bay, that was me looking into the idiotic decisions television executives are making...
Every single thing I say is a rant, I've actually ranted on the first transformers and michael bay appears in my new rant saying he just ate a bagel... so no I do not like him, I dispize him, and if by any chance I don't get to be more influencial than him I will kick him in the groin.
