Re: Dark Age Discussion
I haven't had access to that forever, and the computer I've been using for about 2 months can't take LDD... trust me, if I could, I would.
Re: Dark Age Discussion
... seriously... I found a computer that is worse than mine...

Re: Dark Age Discussion
It's not actually bad, it's just for some reason I cannot download things like that.
Re: Dark Age Discussion
Update on my Dark age- Starting to lose interest even in LEGO SW. All non-SW Lego is now under my bed or in my closet. Considering I'm working on my room, I can't find any time to build, and all my pieces are being used for a MOC I don't want to destroy yet.
I also won't be able to display all my LEGO SW, so I'll at least keep some things (Hoth, ISD, etc)

Re: Dark Age Discussion
... here's the only reason why my lego is still displayed: I have no other place to store it...

Re: Dark Age Discussion
I'm in a complete dark age. Everything except OT Star Wars is in storage.
And my LEGO SW is just shelf filler right now. I'm not even motivated to get on a step ladder and set it up how I want it.
I don't have interest in anything LEGO, even Star Wars.
It's been like this for awhile now...
I will still run TBH but I won't be discussing LEGO.

Re: Dark Age Discussion
No... that cannot be... that is IMPOSSIBRU!
I retain my suggestion, play around with LDD, even my dad, who isn't really into lego, has it installed on his laptop.
Also, people think lego is an "educational" toy for kids... just the other way I learnt how a modern V8 engine worked after my dad and I decided to build an operational one...

Re: Dark Age Discussion
Somehow I lose LDD on my computer.
That was always fun to mess around with but I couldn't open it because my antivirus took up too much RAM so I had to upgrade.
Haven't reinstalled it yet though.

Re: Dark Age Discussion
I think the best way is to find the friends who love Lego's or if you can drive the one's not interested and show them what wonderful these are. You'll have a lot of interest in this, for sure.

Is that supposed to be coherent?

Re: Dark Age Discussion
I'm still in a dark age... no real plans to get out, or sell anything... yet.
Let me say, it's more enjoyable without LEGO, I can get more for my money... XD

Re: Dark Age Discussion
Not in one - pretty far from it, actually, since I'm still customizing and building several things nowadays,
but some worrying thoughts in my head are trying to push me over the ledge.
Never thought it would even come to considerations about it...
Sometimes you feel a bit guilty for spending this much on LEGO... at least,
that goes for me (some events like economics as a subject may trigger this, or comments from family members...), although the value of it never goes down. (Unless something cracks into pieces...) - and acceptance for the hobby seems hard to expect from others, especially what with all the stories I've heard.

Re: Dark Age Discussion
I have been pulled out of a long dark-age, I am now working on MOCS again. And I have a big one in the works that should be done very soon. I do agree with GM about the value never really going down, and if you need, you can 99% make back the money you put into it, if not more.

Re: Dark Age Discussion
Damn it, I've been on one for a while now, the room has been cleaned up, the sets are all in shelves awaiting the dust, and my pupils are slowly morphing into dollar signs whenever I look at the damned things...
Hell
VideoGames have been eating away at my brain, what with my channels and whatnot, sometimes I have good ideas I just don't finish because of them, I also have been watching alot of anime as of late, but that's actually been positive, at least, I have gotten a show on an online radio as a result of my deep knowledge, need to rant and connections... plus that only becomes more amazing when the twenty year olds I work with realize that this guy that's taller than them and knows so much about anime and videogames is actually 16... the responses are always amazing...

Re: Dark Age Discussion
Been about a year since I've actually spent money on LEGO... doesn't look like it's changing now that Transformers has practically filled it's old spot.
Re: Dark Age Discussion
I said I was back from a darkage? Well, I lied I had another one Thank god for Lego Super Heroes c:
Re: Dark Age Discussion
For some reason... some of these LEGO Batman sets look interesting, but already having a bunch of the old ones, and seeing that the new ones are vastly inferior, meh, dark age is still a go.
I think I'm just, for some childish sub-conscience reason, drawn to the fine printing on some of the licensed minifigs as of late, but... I'm not going to spend a crapload of my money, now devoted to Star Wars figures, Transformers, GI Joe, and some Gundams, to buy fine printing... -_-
