Rorschach, Blhctendo64's Historic MOC entry
Rorschach's journal, October 12th, 1985...
Tonight, a Comedian died in New York...
Welcome to my Historic Entry thread.
Here is the layout of the entry thread:
1:Description
2:Detail and Overall pictures(Vignnete)
3:Minifig pictures(4 sides, plus additional accessory)
Chapter 1: Description
It was early 2009, a brand new teenager was getting ready for the summer and going to the cinema with his grandpa like one day a week to go see the new superhero movies(a tradition that still stands).
Both movie and comic book enthusiasts we were looking through our options, we had seen "Kick-A**" the previous week and for some reason we weren't in the mood for "Spirit", so I unknowingly walked in to a cinema room to watch "Watchmen", even worse, with my grandfather.
I believe by now it's obvious this film isn't advised for children.
It took place in an alternate 1985 where America won the Vietnam war with the help of a hired Vigilante, the Comedian, and THE actual Superhuman, Dr. Manhattan.
Now vigilantes have been outlawed and the Comedian has been murdered.
Rorschach, the only active vigilante, suspects there's a "mask killer" and needs to investigate further only to uncover something unexpected(like if it was an M. Night. Shaymalamadingdong movie).
It is based on a graphic novel by Alan Moore, and I actually like it a lot.
So years have passed, I've re-read Watchmen and decided to make this custom as soon as I heard of the contest.
This minifig was customized using Acetone and White Acrylic Paint.
Chapter 2: Detail and Overall pictures(Vignnete)
So here are some pictures of the model itself.
The badge can be placed on top of the blood
Top View Overall.
Chapter 3: Minifig pictures(4 sides, plus additional accessory)
And of course, the Grappling gun given to him by Nite Owl.
I'd like to Apologize for the quality, I'm not used to this camera and the lcd is TINY!
Comments and Feedback are apreciated.

Nice MOC, but it lacks detail. And also, is your camera okay? It's usually better than that.

This is my dads... I'm not used to it(it was the one I used when I didn't know what I was doin')
Also, there's not much detail I could add, I even consulted the graphic novel's panel...
But my other one will have much more, it was built from memory and only misses one or two things.

I've seen this a few times, but never felt like commenting. It's pretty good Henri.

My modern entry is music related(in some kind of way) and I will not allow you to comment on it, take that!JackDawson1010 wrote:I've seen this a few times, but never felt like commenting. It's pretty good Henri.
Also, that's not constructive hence it doesn't count, much like Empy's comment... No offense...

Alright then. Based on what I've seen of Rorschach, I think the face is a bit off. I believe there was more shtuff on his face.

... how is the face off? The face is always correct as long as it's simmetrical, do you even know rorschach?
His "face" has moving ink blots that move depending on temperature...

AH, never mind then. I only watched short little clips of the film that never mention that bit about Rorscharch's face.
Re: Rorschach, Blhctendo64's Historic MOC entry
It's just his mask's blots constantly move, hence you can't complain about the face, every symmetric pattern is possible.JackDawson1010 wrote:AH, never mind then. I only watched short little clips of the film that never mention that bit about Rorscharch's face.

Nice concept here, I like the blood pouring from the sidewalk into the gutter, though personally I would have raised the sidewalk a little higher and moved the white lines in toward the sidewalk a bit. I think it would bring out a little more depth and in turn would make your moc a little more visually appealing; maybe a street light or something to break up all the grey too. Overall it's a good build, nice job.

Flame, when I say stay on topic, stay on topic! Your lack of respect for authority is stretching my tolerance.
Now please, let this be the last staff note.
