This is the place to discuss Harry Potter movies, books in general, and about LEGO Harry Potter (but if you wish to discuss the new ones, go here.)

Re: Happy Harry Potter Month!
Well actually I don't like Harry Potter, AT ALL, I'm not sure why, It just doesn't appeal to me.
Re: Happy Harry Potter Month!
Have you seen the movies? I didn't like it at all until I read the first book.
Re: Happy Harry Potter Month!
I love the books, I read them all in 4 weeks, but then I saw the movies and they sucked.

Re: Happy Harry Potter Month!
I really thought the last movie- Half Blood Prince- was nothing compared to the book. The movie was really rushed and lacked all the detail the book had. It's good they choose to do Deathly Hallows over 2 movies.

Re: Happy Harry Potter Month!
Yes, thank goodness! I've always wanted to see THBP, probably because it features my favorite character...SNAPE!
Re: Happy Harry Potter Month!
Snape and Lupin are my favorites! I agreee with everyone else, the movies are definatly not as good as the books. Books FTW!

In the movie they made Harry seem like a snob.

As for me, my favorite is either Alastor Moody, or Cedric Diggory(even though I didn't like what the actor did to the character... and how he killed the mitological vampire creature for me and all other lovers of the fantastic... ) Hufflepuff FTW!
Also, do you people like the new banner I made?

What, does no one like Tonks? She's my favorite, besides Luna. They remind me of myself; scatterbrained, different, just a little crazy..

Re: Happy Harry Potter Month!
I originally read the books after watching the films which made the film's seem not so bad. I was upset that they missed out so much of HBP.
My favorite adult is Sirius because the way he cares for Harry.
My favorite Student is Neville if we can skip Harry and all the main characters.

I only read the first. I'll probably have to read the second. (because of this AR program at my school)

Have to? what are these words? reading is a pleasure!
I only don't advise you to read the last one, J.K only isn't a murderer because they are fictional characters, she's a dream crusher, it stopped being a children's novel to a teenage terror book...

Re: Happy Harry Potter Month!
I'm not too much of a reading person. The only reason....you feel rushed in this AR program, and when your rushed, you can't enjoy the book, and if you can't enjoy the book, you don't like to read as often. It's a chain reaction. And I also have no time to read, this website, homework, school, LEGO.
Re: Happy Harry Potter Month!
I have even less time than you. Try being an adult. Haven't read a book completely in a long time. The Empire wrote:I'm not too much of a reading person. Re: Happy Harry Potter Month!
Oh yeh. It seems when they want you to read, they actually push you into having less time to do so. But some kids have nothing to do in their life (it seems), and they read 15 books a month, thick ones.
Re: Happy Harry Potter Month!
Like me 10 years ago. Some kids only read one 2 point book the whole year. The Empire wrote:Oh yeh. It seems when they want you to read, they actually push you into having less time to do so. But some kids have nothing to do in their life (it seems), and they read 15 books a month, thick ones.

Same here. We have to get 15 points to pass, and I think I'll reach that goal this year.

I'd suggest reading the diary of a wimpy kid books, I read them really fast, and 223 pages are still a nice amount, I don't know how many points each book is worth, though

I was thinking of getting two "Quidditch Match" sets, bbut I'll just stick with asking for the Hogwarts Express for X-mas and if I don't get it then (Since I want some other things more than I want that set, including the Grand Emporium, a Yugioh deck and and Academy/Chaos Duel Disk) I'll get it for my birthday.
Cheers, brothers and sisters(wait a second, are there any girls in this forum?)
